April 2nd Wedding

Lily and Christopher hosted their wedding reception in the Board of Trustees Room at the University Center Saturday, April 2. The party for 100 guests included a cocktail hour with a cash bar and gourmet fruit and cheese platter in the main hallway before the party began.

The bride and groom opted for a buffet-style meal for their reception, which with smaller parties helps create a less formal atmosphere. Lily and Christopher chose one of our themed buffets, Tour of Italy, which included Caesar salad, Italian sausage with sauteed onions and peppers, chicken Marsala, baked ziti and slices of focaccia bread. The buffet also comes with antipasto salad, but they chose to substitute it with fettuccine Alfredo for this party. Also included with the buffet is coffee, tea and water, and every wedding includes cake-cutting and serving by In Any Event Catering staff.

The entire party ran smoothly thanks to the DJ, Edwin Brown. A DJ who can keep the catering staff informed, wrangle the wedding party, engage the guests and keep the activities -- such as toasts and cake-cutting -- moving along at a steady pace can be the difference between a successful or unsuccessful wedding reception. We are very grateful to Edwin and highly recommend him to our future clients, he can be reached at lyrique.entertainment@gmail.com.
